They capture and generate executive and enterprise-wide alignment, and reduce duplicative labor costs, overlapping vendor costs, and the organizational distraction that results with ambiguity.

There are 3 main components:

• Business Architecture

• People Architecture: A comprehensive assessment of an organizational appetite for change, historical success, leadership alignment and commitment to change, organization readiness and capacity to change. Typically owned by either the CHRO or COO.

• Technology Architecture: The IT owned system and environment centric plan that is commonly produced.
